About Human Resource Management (master Of Arts) in Cork Institute of Technology

This programme allows graduates to apply for advanced level membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, CIPD, and will aid them as their career progresses to strategic roles in organisations. The programme is designed to expose students to current issues in the Human Resource Management domain at a strategic level. This Masters programme has been designed in consultation with industry to respond to changes that have taken place in the HR area. It is aimed at professionals in the Human Resource discipline who wish to further their career and enhance their skillset.

Union of Students in Ireland (USI) Levy 
The USI membership levy of €7.00 has been introduced as a result of a referendum where students opted to affiliate to the national Students’ Union. This levy must be paid before the start of Semester 1.

Delivery
Part-time: Stage 1/Semester 1 & 2, and Stage 2/Semester 1 – Mondays & Wednesdays, 6pm – 10pm, with occasional Saturdays.

Stage 2/Semester 2 – Dissertation (supervision dates to be advised).

Master of Arts in Human Resource Programme is also delivered full-time over the course of one academic year.

Places are limited. Applications are assessed on a first come, first served basis.

Academic qualification equivalents

  • Bachelor's degree (Honours) holders with a minimal overall first division result
  • First Class BSc Science/Arts/Commerce three year degree (for MA Global Business Practice/MSc International Business course)

English language requirements (one of the below):

  • IELTS 6.5 overall (6.0 for Business programmes)
  • IELTS 5.5 in all four components (listening, reading, speaking and writing)
  • PTE 60 (63 for integrated programmes)
  • PTE 55 in all four components (listening, reading, speaking and writing)
