Murdoch University, a public university with a focus on research and situated in Perth, was founded in the year 1973. With 510 students enrolled in various undergraduate programmes, it opened for business in 1975. The institution is associated with Universities Australia, Open Universities Australia, and Innovative Research Universities (IRU) (UA). It operates satellite campuses in Dubai and Singapore in addition to its flagship school in Perth. The South Street Campus, Peel Campus, and Rockingham Campus are the three campuses where the institution holds its classes in Australia. The South Street Campus makes up the university's main campus and is situated in a suburban area.

On this 560 acre campus, there are academic buildings for the humanities, social sciences, education, economics, and commerce, as well as Bush Court, Chancellery Building, Bower Court, and Joglo Rahayu, a semi-enclosed peace pavilion. Several clubs for sports like tennis, netball, soccer, basketball, hockey, volleyball, and badminton are also maintained by the institution. Under the mascot Victor the Viking, these groups oversee a variety of sports teams that represent the institution at numerous intercollegiate sporting events and contests. Visa Requirements for International Students

International Welcome Scholarship

All other qualified programmes are eligible for scholarships worth AUD 8,000 from the institution.

The award money for these scholarships will be given to recipients in four instalments over a two-year period into their student tuition account.

These scholarships are offered to qualified students beginning their studies at one of Murdoch's Western Australian campuses for the 2019 admission period.

Murdoch University Academic Excellence Awards

Students who have a history of outstanding academic accomplishment in their prior studies are eligible for Murdoch University Academic Excellence Awards, which provide them with AUD 5,000 toward their degree.
