About Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) was founded in 1989 and is a public university with a strong emphasis on learning and research. It was first established as Brisbane School of Arts in 1849. A 1988 Act gave it university status, giving it that status today. It is affiliated with the Australian Technology Network and the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL) (ATN).
