TAFE SA Regional, founded in 1971, is the largest provider of vocational education and training in South Australia. Australian Skills Quality Authority, the leading national regulator, has granted it accreditation. The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency has also granted TAFE SA the status of a registered higher education provider. Redarc and the Onshore Petroleum Centre of Excellence are its partners.

It has metropolitan and regional campuses in 300 locations throughout the nation. Students can pursue programmes at any TAFE SA location according to their preferences and convenience. Each location provides students with state-of-the-art academic, administrative, and support facilities. On all of its campuses, TAFE ensures the health and well-being of its students through timely medical services and routine health assessments. In addition, free confidential counselling is offered to students over the phone or in person. The Aboriginal Access Centre offers indigenous programmes to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, in addition to providing them with all possible assistance.

TAFE SA libraries offer a wealth of print and electronic resources on a variety of subject areas, as well as welcoming spaces for students to read books, relax after classes, complete assignments, or study individually or in groups. Each campus offers a variety of computing services, printing facilities, and multimedia equipment to aid students in creating class presentations and assignments. TAFE SA offers bachelor's degrees, advanced diplomas, certificates, diploma programmes, and short courses in over eighty fields of activity and industry.

Students can enrol in courses in the fields of art and design, business and marketing, construction and building, hospitality and tourism, health and lifestyle, hair and beauty, information technology, community services, education, engineering, and primary industries and sciences. In addition, it facilitates distance education for working professionals through a variety of online programmes in various disciplines. There are currently 70,000 students enrolled across all of its education centres, including international students from more than 70 countries. TAFE SA has an extensive alumni network with graduates living all over the world. Many of its graduates hold prominent positions within their respective organisations or have founded their own companies. Aside from this, its alumni list includes numerous individuals who have been recognised for their innovative work and substantial contributions to their respective professional fields.
