About City University London

City University of London (CUL) is a public research university in London, United Kingdom. It was established as the Northampton College in 1894 and became a university when Royal Charter created The City University in 1966. On 1 September 2016 City joined Federal University of London.

Over 61 graduate courses and 150 postgraduate courses are offered by City attracting students from over 150 countries with university staff from over 75 countries. Almost every undergraduate programs provides the chance to do a job or a clinical placement or to study abroad.

IELTS:

  • UG – Overall 6.0 with No band less than 5.5 (IELTS 6.5 for business and IELTS 7.0 for journalism and law courses).
  • PG – Overall 6.5 with No band less than 6.0(IELTS 7.0 for business, journalism and law courses).

TOEFL – 72 overall with no less than 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking

PTE – 51 in each area (writing, speaking listening and reading).

City, University of London is currently accepting Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic only. PTE General is not currently accepted.

International applicants studying in the UK on a Tier 4 visa must submit proof of English language proficiency. The minimum requirements for these test scores are as follows:
