About Adelphi University

Adelphi University, founded in 1896, is one of the oldest higher education institutions in suburban Long Island, with other campuses in Manhattan, Suffolk County, and the Hudson Valley. At the university's eight academic schools/colleges, students can pursue undergraduate, graduate, and joint degree programmes. Psychology, business, anthropology, biology, communication, economics, nutrition, and computer science are among the subjects covered by the programmes.

The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the New York State Education Department, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business have all given it their seal of approval. It was also chartered by the University of the State of New York, which is noteworthy.
