About Azusa Pacific University

Azusa Pacific University (APU) is a highly regarded private school of higher education in California, United States, that was founded in 1899. The Training School for Christian Workers, which was founded in Whittier in 1900, began classes with 12 pupils in 1900. In 1939, the name was changed to Pacific Bible College, and then again in 1956, when the college was renamed Azusa College. In 1965, the college amalgamated with Los Angeles Pacific College, then in 1968, it merged with Arlington College. Under its current name, the college was turned into a university in 1981 and granted degree-granting authority. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges has granted it accreditation, as well as connections with the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

APU's main campus in San Gabriel Valley is divided into two sections: the East Campus and the West Campus. Each of the locations has state-of-the-art academic, recreational, and support facilities to ensure that students have a positive learning experience. Additionally, students get free internet access throughout the campus.

All of the primary administrative offices, academic facilities, residence halls, a student centre, and a gymnasium are located on East Campus. On this site, the Wynn Academic Centre has a 1,800-square-foot lecture hall, a conference room, a computer lab, a library, a presentation hall, two focus rooms, and 11 classrooms. The schools of education, behavioural and applied sciences, nursing, and theology are all located on the West Campus. There is an academic complex, an event centre, a playing hall, and two libraries on the property. The Segerstrom Science Centre on the West Campus, which was completed in 2009, includes a research centre, lecture hall, classrooms, laboratories, faculty offices, community areas, an electron microscope, and nuclear magnetic resonance rooms.

APU is made up of six schools and three colleges that provide more than 80 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programmes.
