About Boston University (BU)

Boston Institution, or BU, is a private, non-profit research university in Boston, Massachusetts, with over 35,000 students from over 130 countries. The institution, which was founded in 1839, is one of Boston's largest and the fourth largest in the United States. According to the Times Higher Education, Boston University graduates are the most employable in the United States and the world, ranking 5th and 6th, respectively.
