About Georgia Institute of Technology

Georgia Institute of Technology, also known as Georgia Tech, is a public research university and a technology institute in Atlanta, Georgia. It was founded on October 13, 1885, and it first opened its doors to 84 pupils in October 1888. The university was renowned as a regionally recognised technological university until the late 1940s.
