About Pace University

In 1906, brothers Charles Ashford Pace and Homer St. Clair Pace founded Pace University as a one-room accounting school in the New York Tribune Building. The school began with only 13 students and two teachers, the Pace brothers. It was soon renamed Pace Institute, and it began offering business law and accounting courses all around the country. The institute was given college status by the New York State Board of Regents in 1947, and it became Pace University in 1973.

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has granted the university accreditation (MSCHE). Its varied programmes are also accredited by a number of major professional organisations.
