Edinburgh Napier University is a public university in Edinburgh, Scotland . Started in 1964 as Napier Technical College with 800 students, now more than 19,500 students from over 140 countries are studying there. 
University is located in Edinburgh which is the capital of Scotland, which regularly wins awards for its quality of life and for being a top attraction for visitors. Campus

Edinburgh Napier University has three campuses in Edinburgh offering advanced learning, teaching and research facilities.

Craiglockhart Campus

Home to the business school, Craiglockhart campus is a blend of old and new. Set within the attractive grounds overlooking Edinburgh, the facilities include 200-and 400-seater lecture theaters and language and multimedia labs. It's also a center for innovation and enterprise.

Sighthill Campus

More than 5,000 students and staff from the School of Applied Sciences and the School of Health & Social Care are served on Sighthill campus. Facilities include life-like hospitals, a suite for clinical skills, sports science labs and a [EN]GAGE sports centre.

Merchiston Campus

Students from the engineering and built environment, computing and creative industries are based in Merchiston. Here you will find the Jack Kilby Computing Centre, the Edinburgh Napier Students 'Association, a computer games lab, newsrooms, TV, radio and photography studios and soundproofed studios for the industry.

Accomodation

At the moment, Edinburgh Napier houses 1300 students across four sites in and around the city centre. Their accommodation is affordable, modern and with the supported by dedicated University staff team.

How to Reach?

Traveling to Edinburgh from across the UK and abroad is both quick and convenient. As Scotland's capital and a major tourist destination, Edinburgh is a major transportation hub offering excellent air, rail and road connections as well as travel options that will easily get you to three campuses.

Air

Edinburgh Airport is located just 8 miles west of the city centre. Passengers can now fly directly to Edinburgh on more than 25 airlines from 120 destinations around the world including 30 different countries.
Upon arrival at Edinburgh Airport, in about 30 minutes, Lothian Buses, Edinburgh Trams or local taxis will take you to the city centre. All three campuses are connected by major bus routes and the The Sighthill campus can be reached by tram directly from the airport.

Rail

Edinburgh's Waverley and Haymarket stations in the city centre offer mainline access to the whole of the UK, including regular services to London and on to Europe. 

Road

Edinburgh is well-served by the UK motorway system, positioned on the A1 (M1) for travel south, M9 and M90 north and M8 west. Bus services also link Edinburgh with cities across the UK.

Edinburgh Napier University Financial Aids/Scholarships

  • Excluding students from partner universities, a tuition discount of 500 GBP is made available to students that make payments at least 30 days before matriculation
  • Types of aids open to international students at Edinburgh Napier are waivers, bursaries, grants, discounts, and scholarships
  • Examples of scholarships open to international students include:
  • South Asia Scholarship: This is a scholarship that excludes students studying MBA (Engineering Management), MBA (Strategic Project Management) and MBA (Leadership Practice), and it is awarded to students from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka who are self-funding students. The scholarship lasts for a year and the value ranges from 2,000 GBP to 3,000 GBP. Students must from the eligible countries and hold an offer to study an undergraduate, masters, or Ph.D. programs. Students must possess an HSC certificate or CGPA of 60% and above to qualify for the scholarship. This is an automatic entrance scholarship and thus, it requires a separate application.
  • Scotland’s SaltireScholarship: Available to students from Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Pakistan, and the United States of America. These awards are 50 numbers each year with an individual value of 8,000 GBP for only one year of study. To be eligible, the student must hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study a master's degree at the university, pass the language requirements for the program, must not have received a Saltire scholarship or studied an undergraduate degree at Scotland, and must be able to show proof of financial ability to cater for living costs and tuition fees.
