About La Trobe University
La Trobe University is an Australian, multi-campus, public research university with its flagship campus located in the Melbourne suburb of Bundoora.La Trobe is one of the Australian verdant universities, which are also part of the country’s Innovative Research Universities group.
La Trobe's original and principal campus is located in the Melbourne metropolitan area, within the northern Melbourne suburb of Bundoora. It is the largest metropolitan campus in the country.It has two other major campuses located in the regional Victorian city of Bendigo and the twin border cities of Albury-Wodonga. The university has two smaller regional campuses in Mildura and Shepparton and three CBD campuses: two in Melbourne on Franklin Street and Collins Street and one on Elizabeth Street in Sydney.
La Trobe offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses across its two colleges of Arts, Social Science and Commerce (ASSC) and Science, Health and Engineering.
In 2015 it was ranked in the top 100 universities under 50 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.La Trobe is considered to be particularly strong in the area of arts and humanities; this was reflected in the 2014 QS World University Rankings where it was ranked in the top 200 international universities for arts and humanities.

Visa Process for International Students
- Students who are accepted into their course are required to apply to the Department of Home Affairs for a student visa.
- Applicants are required to provide the following documents to receive the student visa as a part of the visa process:
- Copy of the offer of enrolment paper.
- Copy of the confirmation of enrolment (CoE) paper.
- Evidence of Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) payment.
- Passport and passport photographs.
- Medical clearance.
- Evidence of English Language proficiency.
- Evidence of qualifications.
- Translations.
- Complete an online application with an application fee.
- Applicants are then required to attend the nearest visa application centre.
- Post the documents to the Australian embassy once the confirmation is given.
