The university consists of five academic schools: School of Computing, Media & the Arts; School of Health & Social Care; School of Science, Engineering & Design; School of Social Sciences, Humanities & Law; and Teesside University Business School. There are also five multi-disciplinary research institutes.
There are specialist media facilities on campus including a convergent newsroom, broadcast news studios, multimedia publishing and computing suites.
