The University College Birmingham (UCB) is situated in the heart of the second largest city in the United Kingdom. It originated as a technical college in the early twentieth century and was granted full degree awarding power in 2007.

UCB's high-quality and affordable programs attract more than 7,500 students, including around 1,100 international students from 65 countries. University College Birmingham is Europe's leading specialist in management courses for hospitality, tourism, aviation, business, education, culinary arts, sport and a wide range of health-related courses delivered within its four core disciplines.

The majority of courses are accredited by the University of Birmingham, one of the world's leading higher education institutions. University College Birmingham consists of four campuses: Summer Row, McIntyre House, Richmond House and Moss House. All campuses are within walking distance of each other in the center of the city centre.

Accommodation for more than 1,000 students are availabl in the university-owned halls of residence.

The two main residence halls, The Maltings, in the center of town, are about 15 minutes' walk from the university and The Cambrian Hall is just 150 meters from the largest Summer Row campus.
