This course, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), prepares you to play a pivotal role in the construction industry – one of the world’s largest and most influential industries – as an architectural or building technologist.

Course information

This course aims to prepare you to provide technical and aesthetic contributions to building projects, making sure that designs are buildable, durable, sustainable, economical and easy to maintain.

We place an emphasis on the architectural design process, the cultural and economic environment in which development takes place, building performance analysis and the construction technologies available to achieve sustainable building solutions. You will also be given a solid grounding in the drawing and modelling of architectural forms, together with the research techniques to assess materials and components.
