The Bachelor of Information Technology – Photonics and Laser Technology (BIT-PLT) degree is a joint collaboration between Algonquin College and Carleton University; graduates of the program receive the following accreditation:

  1. Bachelor of Information Technology Degree (from Carleton University), and
  2. Ontario College Advanced Diploma (from Algonquin College).

The degree is designed to offer students programming centered around both a practical experience and a theoretical background.
