Theoretical Foundations

The School Psychology program builds and extends on the foundational knowledge that you have obtained in your undergraduate psychology degree. Coursework is focused on developing a theoretical understanding of learning and behaviour in a developmental context, as well as conceptual framework for professional practice as a psychologist.

Practical Applications

The development of practical skills is integrated throughout all courses in the School Psychology program. Classroom-based learning is supplemented with intensive practica in school-based intervention and assessment. Research

Becoming a knowledgable, critical consumer of research is essential to developing an understanding of the need for evidence-based practice. Exposure to current research in the field is an integral part of all coursework in the School Psychology program. You'll further develop your research skills by completing a master's thesis. The School Psychology program coordinators will help you to find a thesis supervisor once you begin the program.

  • For entry into a Master's Degree: Completion of BOTH a Bachelor’s (three-year) degree and a Master’s OR a Bachelor’s degree requiring four years of study.Overall score must be 60%.​
