About University Arts And Sciences - General Arts And Sciences Certificate in Northern Lights College

The University Arts and Sciences (UNAS) program at Northern Lights College (NLC) serves individuals and communities by providing university-level learning opportunities that reflect the intellectual and creative modes of inquiry practiced in the arts and sciences.  A wide variety of first and second-year courses enable learners to pursue numerous credential and career options, and to engage in personal enrichment.

A University Arts and Sciences Certificate is awarded to students who complete 30 credits of UNAS courses. The certificate is intended to allow students to explore the Arts and Sciences, and to potentially prepare students for continued university-level studies leading to a Bachelor's Degree.

Career Prospects

By taking a planned combination of Northern Lights College courses, students may complete a full year of university-level courses and then transfer to a number of university degree programs.

Academic qualification equivalents

• Completion of All India or State Board HSC (XII): 55% or higher in relevant subjects.

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS: 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5
• TOEFL: 78 IBT

Student Services Fees Table

Student services fees are assessed for each semester or equivalent instructional period in which a student is enrolled. Full-time students are student enrolled in 9 or more credits per semester, or 18 or more contact hours per week. For programs that do not follow a semester, Student Services Fees cover up to five months (20 weeks).
