Contents, goals and course of study

Future-oriented management skills

As part of your master’s degree, you can choose between two main areas:

'General Business Administration (BWL)' and 'Human Resources Management'.

A broad spectrum of overarching competences is imparted in both study orientations so that you, as a future manager or HR expert, can successfully and creatively shape and manage companies. Both study orientations of the Master's in Business Administration - General Business Administration and Human Resources - have both management and scientific competencies in common. They differ in some modules in the specialist area.

Management skills

Topics such as general management, strategic management, leadership and business development serve to develop management skills. Different basic attitudes and specific procedures are tested and practiced in interactive settings. You will learn about the main tasks and functions of companies using examples and case studies. The academic reflection in the form of "Case Studies" at a high level is the basis for later targeted and sustainable problem solving.

Competence in scientific work

In this part of the master's program in Business Administration, you will deal with static and econometric methods. You will apply the knowledge you have acquired in the module "Applied methods of quantitative and qualitative methods of economic research and decision theory".

The degree concludes with the academic title of Master of Science (M.Sc.). You are formally and methodically qualified for a doctorate.
