Graduates of all three programmes will gain a core common set of skills in mechanical engineering while each will be differentiated by distinct streams that target specific discipline areas.

Graduates of the BEng in Mechanical Engineering may be employed as technicians within, for example the medical devices, pharmaceutical, ICT, automotive sectors or precision engineering sectors.

Mechatronics graduates receive a more specific training in electronics automation and mechanical engineering that qualifies them to work as technicians in advanced manufacturing environments, configuring and maintaining production lines or automated mechanical processes. They work across sectors that have high levels of automation.

Academic qualification equivalents

  • Completion of All India or State Board HSC (XII): 60% or higher in relevant subjects. 

English language requirements (one of the below):

  • IELTS: Minimum IELTS 5.5 with no Band less than 5.0.
  • TOEFL:Minimum iBT 60 – 93. (Depending on programme)
  • PTE:55 (minimum 51 in each component)
