Why take this course?

In 2003, there were approximately 6.3 billion people living on the planet and 500 million Internet connected devices. By 2020 there will be 50 billion connected devices. Known as the Internet of Things (IoT), everything that can benefit from a network connection will have one. In the IoT environment your phone will control your world. Late home from work, your phone will turn on the heating, check the fridge and choose a recipe based on those ingredients. It may tell you what additional ingredients you need and where you can find them.

Career Prospects

This programme provides excellent employment opportunities for graduates. Historically there has been a significant shortage of graduates in the ICT area. This shortage has been compounded by the increase in mobile app development since 2009.
