About Chemical & Biopharmaceutical Engineering Meng in Cork Institute of Technology

This programme aims to develop advanced analytical, design and research skills in Chemical Engineering with an industrial focus. Postgraduate students will undertake the final research element of this Masters programme in a host company or with their current employer. This will provide the researcher with an insight into the commercial aspects of engineering research and innovation and the opportunity to contribute to the development of the latest products and techniques. Graduates of the programme will be well equipped to respond to the needs of the high technology industries particularly those with a focus on Research & Development, and product or process innovation.

This is a 90 credit Level 9 taught programme comprising eight mandatory modules, two free choice 5 credit modules and two project modules, totalling 40 credits.

Academic qualification equivalents

  • Bachelor's degree (Honours) holders with a minimal overall first division result
  • First Class BSc Science/Arts/Commerce three year degree (for MA Global Business Practice/MSc International Business course)

English language requirements (one of the below):

  • IELTS 6.5 overall (6.0 for Business programmes)
  • IELTS 5.5 in all four components (listening, reading, speaking and writing)
  • PTE 60 (63 for integrated programmes)
