Griffith College's BA in Fashion Design is a three-year level 7 degree course available on a full-time basis. The course is currently validated as an exit award of the level 8 BA(Hons) in Fashion Design after 2 years. This interdisciplinary programme introduces a broad range of art and design disciplines alongside the skills required to design a business-aware fashion collection.
- The core Fashion Design and Garment Construction modules develop practical skills and explore a personal design style—from idea generation, design development and pattern creation, through to garment construction using contemporary production techniques.
- We also offer a range of guest lecturers with workshops to develop embellishment and knitwear design skills.
- Students learn to think creatively when faced with design challenges, adapt to industry changes and develop the key skills required to design a fashion collection.
- Our graduates have strong brand communication and entrepreneurial skills, their collection can be found at Brown Thomas Create, Havana Boutique, Marion Cuddy, Om Diva and at the Design House.
