About Psychology With Neuropsychology Bsc (hons) in Bangor University

On this course, as well as studying general psychology modules, you will specialise in understanding the structure of the human brain, and how it functions to affect perception, thought, emotion, language and behaviour. You will analyse what happens when the brain is damaged or impaired, as for example in head injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease or Alzheimer’s disease. You will study not only the effects of these conditions, but also how such patients can be helped through rehabilitation. During the course, you will become acquainted with advanced techniques such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (FMRI) and event-related potentials (ERP) for observing brain activity and diagnosing problems.
