About BA (hons) Graphic Design in Glyndwr University, Wrexham
A strong vocational programme with outstanding industry links nationally, our Graphic Design course will equip you with all the skills you’ll need to be a designer of the next century. Our graduates are visually literate and leave the course technically able to cope with the demands of a fast-moving industry.
You will:
- Gain experience and develop knowledge of a broad range of graphic design and multimedia techniques.
- Cover areas such as advertising, typography, editorial, packaging, branding, web design, installation design, mobile communications and motion graphics.
- Have opportunities to work on ‘live briefs’ through our industry contacts enabling you to develop your problem-solving skills to fulfil a client brief.
- Enjoy visits to design exhibitions, museums and conferences.
- Be challenged to think about your practice, and how you may embrace new opportunities, collaborate with others, take risks, solve problems and adapt to different and innovative ways of working professionally in the creative industries area.

Academic qualification equivalents

India Standard XII – 65% minimum from all state boards.
• Diploma from the State Board of Technical Education with 60% minimum (including MEng).
• International Baccalaureate Diploma with 28 points or more.
You may be eligible for advanced entry onto the second year of a degree programme if you have a three or four year diploma. However, this will be decided on a case-by-case basis and the content of the course which you have previously been studying will need to closely match that of the course which you are applying for.
