About Nursing (adult) Bsc Honours in Middlesex University

Developed in partnership with the NHS trusts, the course will see you spend 50% of your time on placements with our partner hospitals. You’ll learn the essential nursing skills needed to take effective care of adult patients in a live environment.

You’ll develop your skills in communication, care and compassion, demonstrating your dedication to making a difference in other people’s lives. You’ll study in modern facilities that include nursing skills labs, professional training equipment and high-fidelity simulations in areas such as resuscitation.

Building practical skills to make you a confident nurse

During your nursing degree you’ll complete more than 2,300 hours of clinical training, meaning your practical skills are developed on the job. We have links with many prestigious NHS trusts, A&E, theatres and medical wards.

Our course allows you to combine the theory you learn in the classroom with the actual practice of treating patients in a hospital environment. You’ll use equipment for practising realistic emergency care situations and scenarios, our life-like mannequins simulating diseases, symptoms and conditions you’ll encounter as a working nurse.

Beyond the essential nursing skills, you’ll build your problem-solving skills and critical decision making, gaining confidence to work in a high pressure, stressful environment.

Supporting your nursing career

Our personalised approach gives you the support you need to succeed as a student. While you're an undergraduate or foundation year student, you’ll have a Personal Tutor directly related to your course. If you need support with academic writing, numeracy and library skills, we’ll be sure to provide it. Our Student Learning and Graduate Academic Assistants have studied your subject and can support you based on their own experience.
