About Msc Design: Products And Technology in Nottingham Trent University

MSc Design: Products and Technology embraces an extensive range of approaches to design practice – from manufacturing, computer science and advanced internet techniques, to artificial intelligence for control, robotics, project management and inclusive design. Designed for you to strengthen your technological and manufacturing skills, you’ll develop a comprehensive appreciation of the principles and techniques that underpin advanced design solutions.

Through contemporary research and industry-applied briefs and projects, you’ll explore the technological relationships, strategies and interfaces between the user and the product in a manufacturing context. With strong industrial relationships and input, the course ensures a rich multidisciplinary design experience, providing you with the tools, knowledge and critical thinking to drive process and practice in the commercial world.

Who is this course designed for?

This course is aimed at design professionals or graduates with a design-related honours degree. The course, and the associated support provided by the University, will enable graduates to develop advanced design, technological and manufacturing skills, enabling them to start their own business, work within the manufacturing industry, design consultancies, research and development organisations, or to progress to further study by engaging in research.

Nottingham Trent University Admission Procedure 

  • Application: The UG applications are accepted through ‘Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS)’ and PG applications through the ‘NTU applicant portal’.
  • Application fee: One needs to pay £13 for 1 UG course and £24 for multiple UG courses.
  • Application deadlines: For UG students the last date to apply is June 30, 2019. The PG programs don’t have any official deadline, however, it is better to apply one month prior to course start date.
  • General requirements: Completed application form, academic transcripts, and English proficiency tests.
  • Additional requirements: Birth certificate, passport copy, LOR.

English Proficiency Test: Majority of the courses require IELTS score ranging between 6.0 and 6.0 for entry. However, other equivalent English test scores are also acceptable.
