This PhD course allows you to undertake research into a specific media and communication context. You'll join a dynamic research community — 81% of research in Art & Design and 65% of research in Media, Cultural, Communication Studies & Library and Information Management was deemed of world-leading or internationally excellent in the UK 2014 Research Excellence Framework. Live projects

Topics of particular interest to current potential supervisors include a range of relevant topics, which address contemporary issues. These might include social movements and progress; the governance of public spaces and urban culture; globalization and post-colonial cultures; the collaborative economy and cultural heritage.
