Dundee University Centre for Renewable Energy (DUCRE)

DUCRE brings together a wide range of scientists with strong interests in renewable energy and environmental issues. Staff and students in the Centre are engaged in a wide range of diverse renewable energy and environmental research. Projects range from electric vehicle technologies, to wind, solar, and hydro technologies, and from energy policy issues to Third World environmental development analysis.

Academic qualification equivalents

  • Bachelor’s degree with 55% or above considered from University of Delhi, University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, IITs and IIMs (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)

    Bachelor’s degree with 60% or above required from other institutions (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)

    A Bachelor’s degree with 50% or above may be considered comparable to a UK 2.2 degree.

English language requirements (one of the below):

  • IELTS: The requirement for most undergraduate and postgraduate degrees is IELTS 6.5 overall with a 6.0 in writing and 6.0/5.5 minimum in the other three components.
  • TOEFL (iBT): 88 overall, including at least 21 in Listening, 20 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
  • PTE: 62 overall, including at least 56 in all four skills
