About Msc Social Work in University of Dundee

This course provides you with the professional accreditation required to undertake a career in social work or in one of the professions allied to social work. You will work closely and innovatively with our Carers and Users group, which will provide you with crucial perspectives and experiences of service users and carers.

Academic qualification equivalents

  • Bachelor’s degree with 55% or above considered from University of Delhi, University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, IITs and IIMs (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)

    Bachelor’s degree with 60% or above required from other institutions (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)

    A Bachelor’s degree with 50% or above may be considered comparable to a UK 2.2 degree.

English language requirements (one of the below):

  • IELTS: The requirement for most undergraduate and postgraduate degrees is IELTS 6.5 overall with a 6.0 in writing and 6.0/5.5 minimum in the other three components.
  • TOEFL (iBT): 88 overall, including at least 21 in Listening, 20 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
  • PTE: 62 overall, including at least 56 in all four skills
