About Bsc (hons) Child Psychology in University of East London (UEL)

Your degree in Child Psychology will develop your knowledge and understanding of children from a psychological, cultural, educational and counselling perspective.

You’ll be focusing on why babies, children and adolescents behave the way they do. You’ll also design and carry out studies to explore the factors that go on to influence adult behaviour.

The aim is to learn how psychologists can use their knowledge to understand individuals and help them to make a positive difference to their life’s development.

You’ll be studying in one of the largest – and friendliest – Schools of Psychology in the country, with a huge range of expertise available to you on the campus across a range of subjects. 

Advanced entry
If you have one of the following, you may be considered for entry with Advanced Standing

  • HSC (year 12) / Intermediate Exam for Class XII 
    60% or above 
  • A 3 or 4 year technical diploma with grades of 55% or above
  • 2 years of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject
  • An Edexcel HND

Undergraduate standard requirements

The English language entry requirement for undergraduate (Bachelor's) course is a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or 6, or equivalent, depending on the course and year or level of entry. The specific requirements for your chosen course, including individual component scores, will be outlined as one of the academic conditions if you are made an offer.

To study for an undergraduate degree, you are normally required to have completed the SSC (Year 10) with good grades and HSC (Year 12) with 60% or above.
