About Digital Dentistry Msc in University of Leeds

This course uniquely provides in-depth training in the acquisition and use of 3D data, with a particular leaning toward clinical dental application.

Your research project is the largest component of the course and gives you the opportunity to develop your own ideas (supported by our technical development team) and assess their efficacy. Technical support will be provided to enable the development of new software, enabling you the unique opportunity to design and shape the application of digital technology in your chosen field.

Perhaps you have an idea for using 3D printing in dentistry, or maybe you’re interested in an augmented reality, facial scanning or another machine learning project. All these ideas and more can be accommodated with the support of our team. This is your chance to shape the future of dentistry.

On completing this course you will have a deep understanding of 3D data, CAD/CAM manufacturing and modern materials, all within the digital dental context. You will also understand the research process and peer-reviewed publication is encouraged

IELTS 7.0 overall, with no less than 6.5 in each component.

Applicants must hold either a:

  • primary clinical dental qualification that entitles them to register as a dental practitioner with the General Dental Council in the UK, (or)
  • Bachelors degree (minimum 2:2 or equivalent) in a subject related to medicine, dentistry or 3D visualisation.
