Studying French and Contemporary Chinese Studies means immersing yourself in the histories and cultures of two nations that have had enormous influence on the world. You will devote half your time to each subject. You will follow core language modules in French and Mandarin and you will also select optional modules. The range of options in French includes opportunities to study French literature, history, society, politics, linguistics and cinema. In Chinese your modules focus on contemporary Chinese history, politics, society and identities.
Your year abroad, which is split between France and China, gives you a unique opportunity to develop your language skills and enhance your understanding of French and Chinese culture.
