About Mechanical Engineering Msc in University of Portsmouth

Many things rely on mechanical engineering – from mobile phones and biomedical devices, to aircraft and power plants. If you're ready to take your engineering studies further, our MSc Mechanical Engineering degree course will give you the skills you need to advance your career.

On this course, you'll develop an advanced understanding of core mechanical engineering disciplines, including design and critical evaluation of structural integrity, computational fluid dynamics, advanced materials, energy and control systems.   • IELTS: A  minimum of IELTS band 6.5–7.0, with no component below 6.0.
  • TOEFL iBT: For most of our Master's degrees, you need a score of 91 with a minimum of:20 in Reading 19 in Listening 21 in Speaking 20 in Writing.
  • PTE:  At least 61 points, with a minimum of 54 in each component
