As you get to grips with the technical elements of audio systems, live sound and studio production, you’ll also explore the creative side of video technology, interactive media and live streaming.  This hands-on course will help you to build a skillset for careers in live broadcast, post-production editing and technical engineering. Accredited by the Joint Audio Media Education Support (JAMES), and with the opportunity to gain AVID certification, you’ll be educated to the highest industry standards.

During your studies, you’ll be based at our MediaCityUK campus, the heart of media production in the North. With our neighbours including Doc10 production, BBC, ITV and the home of Coronation Street, our students maximise this enviable location, working on live projects and securing both paid placements and work experience on flagship programmes, such as Britain’s Got Talent, The Voice and X Factor.

You will:

  • Study audio and visual technologies underpinned by IP technologies
  • Learn to encode, stream and edit quality content using scientific and creative knowledge
