About Bsc Paramedic Science in University of Stirling

Paramedics have a highly responsible role using their skills in a range of emergency and non-emergency situations. You'll be one of the first healthcare professionals to arrive at the scene and we'll ensure you're ready to help others in their moment of need. 

We’ve collaborated with the Scottish Ambulance Service to that our BSc Paramedic Science degree teaches you the skills and competencies you’ll need for the autonomous and dynamic role of a paramedic. We are experts in health education and recognised internationally for our research into out-of-hospital care. Our BSc Paramedic Science degree will teach you the full scope of Paramedic Science practice so you meet the requirements to become a registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)*.

Academic qualification equivalents

• Direct Entry to 1st Year:

  Year 12 Grade – cumulative score of 65% and above.

  Advanced Entry to 2nd Year:

  Year 12 Grade – cumulative score of 75% and above. Advanced entry is possible on a range of courses. Student applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS :6.0 overall including 5.5 in all elements
• TOEFL IBT: 88 overall including R=22, L=21, S=23, W=22
• PTE: 54 R, L, S, W = 51
