You’ll benefit from hands-on learning in our Innovation for Health Learning Laboratory. Depending on the optional modules you chose, you’ll get to carry out some of the following experiments:

  • Buccal smear staining and analysis, using light microscopy
  • Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
  • Flow cytometry
  • Genomic polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
  • Liquid-based cytology for cervical screening
  • Ribonucleic acid (RNA) isolation, quantification and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)
  • Thin-layer chromatography
  • Urinalysis.
