About Art History BA (hons) in University of Sussex

Learn about why art history matters to society, to culture and to politics. You'll find out about art’s relationships with museums and heritage, as well as its place in feminism and queer studies, empire and post-colonialism, criticism and the media.

Sussex Art History students are provided with opportunities to gain professional experience as researchers, teachers and in museums and galleries during their degrees.

Academic qualification equivalents

  • 80% from ISC Indian School certificate of Education (CISCE)  or 80% from SSC All India Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE)

English language requirements (one of the below):

  • IELTS          :          6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component
  • TOEFL        :          88 overall, including at least 20 in Listening, 19 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
  • PTE             :           62 overall, including at least 56 in all four skills.
