Not only will we equip you with the ability to produce written work according to the standards of traditional print journalism, we will also teach you to:

  • produce and edit video and audio material
  • create and moderate online content
  •  manage social media streams.

You will have access to our professionally equipped studios where you can develop your skills in:

  • podcasting
  •  video production
  • media presentation
  • photojournalism
  • radio journalism.

Workshops in our Mac labs will help you to develop your journalism skills within the context of new media, and you will also have access to our studios for radio, photography and TV production.

As you progress through the course, practical work projects will help you to further develop your creative and communication abilities. You will look at the legal issues facing journalists, and examine the role of global media structures.

You need to meet our English language requirement - a minimum of IELTS 7.0 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening). 

Applicants with the following qualifications will be considered for entry on an undergraduate degree:

•    International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (From a minimum 25 points depending on course)
•    British/ International A Levels (From a minimum 112 UCAS tariff points depending on course)
•    Indian Standard 12/HSC (minimum average of 55% depending on exam board)
•    Second and final year entry on a bachelor's degree may be available for those with a Higher National Diploma (HND) from the UK with a merit profile
•    A recognised foundation course
