The MA in Cultural Diplomacy & International Events course will teach you the necessary contexts with which events are located:

COURSE DETAILS

Although the MA Cultural Diplomacy pathway has some core features, you will also benefit from a degree of specialisation that will prepare you for a career in your chosen area of events, sport or music.

Teaching & Assessment

You will complete the following three common 20-credit modules on all three courses in the framework: ·

  • Research Methods
  • History of Cultural Diplomacy
  • Future Trends in Cultural Diplomacy

Your course specific modules will be: 

  • Global Events Policy: Critical Perspectives

  • Event Bidding: Theory and Practice

By studying either: 

  • International Cases in Cultural Diplomacy

  • Soft Power, Hard Power & Smart Power; and

  • Nation Branding and Unilateral Cultural Diplomacy

You will deepen your critical understanding of the history and contemporary practice of cultural diplomacy, as well as future applications of the field.

Academic qualification equivalents

  • Students must have successfully completed at least one year of undergraduate study with recognized institution.

English language requirements (one of the below):
