The International Business and Management MSc/MA is designed to advance your knowledge and develop the analytical and evidence-based skills that are needed in your future professional life. One particular feature of the course is the study trip which takes place in the first semester and is usually overseas. This, together with other organised company visits, provide IBM students with invaluable opportunities to tackle real-life business challenges. The course team will continue to develop this kind of experiential learning that fosters an application-orientated approach.  

The course places much emphasis on the integration of theory and practice within an international environment and this is reflected in the teaching and learning strategies. Teaching will be delivered through lectures, seminars, live case studies and business simulation exercises. You will also benefit from inspirational guest speakers, who will share their own personal experiences, knowledge and expertise. A variety of assessments will be used across the course. This includes a combination of essays, business reports, presentations and examinations.  

You will be encouraged to be proactive in your approach to learning, by participating in classroom discussions, undertaking research and working in teams. You will also be expected to spend an appropriate amount of time in independent study. You will be supported via the Virtual Learning Environment accessing study materials and online resources on the Blackboard platform.

You will have a personal tutor, who will provide you with academic support and guidance throughout your university journey so that you can achieve your full academic and personal potential.

  • 3-year Bachelor's degree (Honours) from an accredited university with a minimum overall average of 55% or CGPA 6.0 out of 10.0 depending on the university
  • 3-year Bachelor's degree (Science) from an accredited university with a minimum overall from 58% or CGPA 6.5 out of 10.0 depending on the university
  • 4-year Bachelor's degree (Eng/Tech) from an accredited university with a minimum overall average of 55% or CGPA 6.0 out of 10.0 depending on the university

English language requirements (one of the below):

  •  IELTS: 6.5 overall with a minimum 5.5 in each component
