About California Institute of Technology

California Institute of Technology, based in the California suburb of Pasadena, is one of the world's major private research universities. Throop University was founded in 1891 as a vocational school under the name Throop. Caltech is now known around the world for its engineering and natural science prowess. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges has granted this university accreditation. It has ties to the AAU, HHMI, and NASA (JPL).

The Beckman Institute, Kavli Nanoscience Institute, Rosen Bioengineering Center, Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute for Neuroscience, and the Resnick Sustainability Institute are among the five institutes on the Caltech campus. The Millikan Library is the tallest structure on the campus. The institute includes campuses in Louisiana, Hawaii, Switzerland, and Washington, in addition to Pasadena. Caltech has seven buildings spread across 124 acres of property that serve as student and family homes. Basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, swimming, and fencing are among the men's and women's athletic teams at the university.

In mathematics, chemistry, biology, computer science, physics, and earth sciences, Caltech provides graduate, undergraduate, and doctoral degree programmes. Physics, Mathematics, and Astronomy, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Biology and Biological Engineering, Geological and Planetary Sciences, Engineering, and Applied Science make up the university's academic structure. Caltech now has about 1,285 graduate students and 948 undergraduate students enrolled. Caltech employs roughly 3,900 people, including alumni and non-alumni academic faculty. Professors with advanced degrees and expertise in science and applied sciences make up the university's faculty.

California Institute of Technology International Students Admissions

International applicants are accepted by the university provided that they have met California Institute of Technology admissions eligibility requirements, provided official academic documents, and met deadlines. International and domestic applicants have similar application processes except that more supporting documents are needed for international applicants.
