About Clark University

Clark University is a private research university founded in 1887 with a huge gift from well-known industrialist Jonas Gilman Clark. In 1902, the university graduated its first class, and it was acknowledged as one of the country's first all-graduate research universities, having departments in physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, and psychology.

The university is a liberal arts research university that provides numerous possibilities to its undergraduate students through financial support from the LEEP initiative. The university maintains a small-town atmosphere and is the second smallest university on "U.S. News & World Report's" list of 40 Colleges That Change Lives and the top 66 national universities.

Around 39 undergraduate majors, 12 certificate programmes, 9 doctoral degrees, and 29 master's degrees, including two dual degrees, are available at the university. Aside from that, it offers over 50 study abroad programmes in over 20 countries. There are approximately 215 full-time instructional faculty members, with 96 percent holding PhD or terminal degrees. Humanities, social sciences, engineering, and natural sciences are just a few of the subjects available. The university is also well-known for its physics, geography, biology, psychology, and entrepreneurship departments. Students can enrol in courses at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and other institutions through the Higher Education Consortium of Central Massachusetts, which the university is a member of.

The university maintains a number of schools to provide higher education opportunities. Graduate schools offer professional and graduate degrees in areas such as geography, professional studies, Arts and Sciences, international development, community and environmental management, and management. All of these are specialised in specific subjects to provide the greatest available facilities for students.

The Clark Undergraduate Student Council oversees over 130 student organisations and clubs in addition to these educational institutions. The council is in charge of overseeing numerous clubs and their activities. The university's athletic team, the Clark Cougars, participates intercollegiately in 17 NCAA Division III sports, and there are various facilities available at the college level.
