About San Francisco State University

San Francisco State University (SFSU) has been a state university since 1972, but it was founded in 1899 as a state-run institution. It is one of the California State University system's 23 universities. In Romberg Tiburon Center, Downtown Campus, Sierra Nevada Field Campus, and the main campus at Holloway Ave., there are six academic colleges and four campuses. There are 94 master's degrees, 118 bachelor's degrees, 26 teaching certificates, and 5 doctoral degrees available at the university. At the NCAA Division II level, there are 12 athletic teams. The Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges has granted SFSU accreditation.

SFSU's main campus is 141 acres and is about 2 miles from the Pacific Ocean. There are twelve academic buildings, eight residential buildings and communities, a gymnasium, Cox Stadium, and Maloney Field on the campus. Students from all around the world flock to the bustling campus. There is also a Mashouf Wellness Centre, which provides wellness activities and recreational options. San Francisco is located in Northern California and is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. There are countless possibilities for pleasure and social gatherings. It has evolved into the West Coast's financial hub. San Francisco is home to six Fortune 500 organisations. The city's culture, art, and mentality are unlike any other.

San Francisco State University received 36,223 applications in 2016, of which 24,704 were accepted. It has an Institution of Ethnic Studies and is the 11th most diverse college in the country. The institution received an endowment of $83.7 million in 2017. There are approximately 26,500 undergraduate students and 2,800 postgraduate students enrolled. These pupils are cared for by a team of around 1,620 academic specialists. Students pursuing a bachelor's degree can pick from 77 academic areas, while students pursuing a master's degree can choose from 63 academic areas. There are also 41 certificate programmes and 16 certification programmes available at the university.
