The college offers courses that meet the required pre-requisites to enter post-secondary programs including ELL. The college offers a range of career programs in the dynamic fields of business, health care, human services, justice, administration and creative technologies. Their undergraduate certificates and diplomas often include work-experience ensuring graduates have both theory and practical experience. After completing a program, graduates can choose to work or continue their studies with other post secondary partners. Over 95% of their graduates find employment in their field because their programs are built with the workplace in mind.

The college provides assistance to its international learners from their initial point of contact to graduation, which includes recruitment & enrolment, learner pathway planning, navigating immigration information, community connections, cross-cultural integration, orientations, as well as social, recreational and global citizenship events and experiences. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and resulting temporary Closure of many IELTS testing centres around the world, Bow Valley College is making an addition to the English Language Requirement options for admission to Post-secondary Programs.

Effective immediately for the Spring 2020, Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 IntakesBow Valley College will accept the Duolingo Language Test with scores at or above the following levels:

  • Most Programs with IELTS 6.0 – Duolingo score of 95-100.
  • Recreation Therapy Aide Certificate with IELTS 5.5 – Duolingo score of 85-90.
