About Nursing Bs - Accelerated in University At Buffalo
The accelerated second-degree option offers the undergraduate nursing curriculum as an intensive, full time, 12 month program designed for students who have already completed a bachelor's degree in a field outside of nursing. Students selecting this option will complete all required courses in the nursing major in a sequence that provides accelerated progression and, upon completion, are prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become a registered nurse. During their study, ABS students will also be given the opportunity to accrue up to seven graduate credit hours, which later may be applied to a graduate program in a nursing specialty area of interest, giving students a head start toward a graduate degree.
