Scholarships For Indian Students To Study In Abroad

Scholarships are generally based on the student's academic capability and effort through the years. Few are well-prepared and work out safely with a plan, while others, well, not with very practicality. Some students just thoughtlessly believe every scholarship in information that would have got from internet and think twice to bother even applying. Only an academically outstanding student is considered to get scholarships. Every year thousands of Indian students, looking at studying abroad, and hundreds of scholarships that are available to them. These can be private or public and can even be research fellowships. Among them, few offer only a limited amount of money as scholarships, while many offer on a criteria of need-based and merit-based scholarships. B) These are the scholarships which are awarded to international students planning to attend a study abroad program in that particular country. These are awarded as a motivation to study in that country.

C,) Subject-based scholarships are awarded by colleges or government institutions to students according to the particular major or field of study they want to pursue. These scholarships require the applicant to be enrolled in the subject-specific courses while abroad.

a) Cornell University Tata Scholarship  – Scholarships for Indian students who have been perused to study an undergraduate program at Cornell University.

b) S.N. Bose Scholars Student Exchange Program for Indian Students – This is for Indian researchers at master’s level in the field of science and technology at a university in the US.

c) Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowships  – Scholarships for Indian students to study at Stanford Graduate School of Business on the MBA program. After their studies, students must return to India within two years of completing their studies.

d) Asian Women in Business Scholarship Fund – Offering Asian girl students the chance to receive funding for an undergraduate business degree taken at an accredited US university.

e) Fulbright-Nehru Research Fellowships – It gives to outstanding Indian students wishing to study at any level within an accredited US institution.

UK

Sir Ratan Tata Fellowships at LSE – Scholarships for social science students from South Asia to study at the London School of Economics (LSE).

Sussex India Scholarships – for Indian students at master’s degree level.

Oxford and Cambridge Society of India (OCSI) Scholarships – Study in any degree level at Oxford University or the University of Cambridge in the UK.

British Council GREAT scholarships – These scholarships are offered by the British Council, to support Indian students in the UK.

Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarships – Indian students who want to study in doctoral and research studies.

Heriot Watt SML International Merit Scholarships for Indian Students – This is for at postgraduate level studying at Heriot Watt University in the UK on a taught program within the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society.University of Lincoln India Scholarship – Scholarships are available for high-achieving Indian postgraduate students.

IRELAND

UCD Global Graduate Scholarships  – Funding for Indian students at graduate level studying at University College, Dublin.

NETHERLANDS

a) Orange Tulip Scholarship Grants are available for Indian students to study in the Netherlands at bachelors or master’s level at selected participating universities.

FRANCE

France-Campus France Charpak Scholarship – Exclusively for an Indian nationals to study in France at master’s level. Student should be 30 or under and be a student orcurrently employed in India.
